EASTER IS NOT OVER!

We are now in the period of Eastertide, the 50 day period from the Sunday of Easter  to the first day of Pentecost.  The Sundays are  called the Second Sunday of Easter, the Third Sunday of Easter, etc., etc., until the Seventh Sunday of Easter.  Each Sunday is celebrated just as the first. So if you think you missed the big day, you are wrong. You can still join us in celebration with prayer, meditation, and great music every Sunday at 9:30.

Fridays at 2 to 4 PM:  Prayer Shawl Group:

If you would like to make prayer shawls for those in need, or Hats for the Homeless for Grace and Family Ministries, join this Friday afternoon group that meets in St. Michael Parish Hall.  The church sanctuary will be open during this time for those that wish to come for quiet prayer and meditation. Contact Kathleen at 860-342-3792 to request an item.

Prayer Requests and Prayer Chain:

If you have something you want our congregation to help you pray for, write it on a card which you can find in the black bags in each pew and put the card in the baptismal font. Or use the cards and card container found on the Main St. door of our Parish Hall, St. Michael's. Or call Charles at 860-508-7213. All prayers will be honored.

9 Minutes a Day Prayer Challenge:

Try this prayer / meditation every day while sitting quietly:

3 MINUTES of prayer for all the things you are thankful for

3 MINUTES of prayer that you may better listen to others

3 MINUTES of prayer for yourself, your family, or others

Welcome to the official website for our parish!

We are a small and lively growing parish.  We gather on Sunday mornings to share in Bible study, the Holy Eucharist Mass, and fellowship.  Our Church School provides an interactive way for children to learn about religion and the bible.  We are involved in our community through outreach programs, drives, concerts, and lectures.  We have a number of active committees for those who would like to become involved.  We welcome new members with open arms and hope after exploring our website, you will visit us!  We are committd to:

Proclaim the Good News

  of  the Kingdom:

" Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.

Worship the Lord with gladness. "     (Psalm 100)

† Teach, Baptize, and Nurture

  new believers:

" Go therefore and make disciples for all nations, baptizing them

in the name of the Father  and of  the Son and of  the Holy Spirit. "

  (Matthew 28:19)

† Respond to Human Need with

   loving service:

" If a brother or sister is naked and lacks daily food, and one o

you says to them, ‘go in peace; keep warm and eat your fill’

and yet you do not supply their bodily needs, what is the good of that?

So faith by itself, if it has no works,  is dead." (James 2:1)                                              Reverend Phil Bjornberg
