Youth Programs

Trinity Portland is committed to our youth, and we have a number of services and programs for them.

Trinity has a newly built nursery within our Church sanctuary. It is stocked with toys, books, changing table and rocking chairs. The nursery is available to families with small children who my need an area to tend to their child's needs or let them get the "wriggles" out of their system.

 Church School

Trinity's Church School program is offered for grades preschool - 6th grade. We meet in newly remodeled classrooms while we explore the bible lessons, gospel, and church traditions. Our lessons are taught in a variety of mediums from arts and crafts and videos to games and pageants. We have traveled to sheep farms and alpaca farms while we collected for Hiefer International and baked our own pizza with our priest. Our lessons have included human monopoly, movie theaters, planting bulbs and making our own altar veil, paten and chalices'.

Church School begins in the Church Service at 9:30 am for announcements. After announcements the teachers and students go to their classrooms and rejoin the service during the Peace to share communion with our families.

Church school is currently on summer vacation, and will resume in September.

St. Michael’s Acolyte Guild

Six graders and up are welcome to assist in the Church service by joining St. Michael's Acolyte Guild.
